This is the mentality we're up against -- a legislative body doing "something," even if unproductive or counter-productive, shows "good faith." So let's ban toy guns, those gigantic menaces to public safety, because Tamir Rice.

The brief is one that Delaware joined in filed in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals that argues that states should be permitted to "experiment" with gun control laws to see what works and what doesn't work instead of having to establish, in any way, that such a restriction does work (which would be required under the intermediate and strict scrutiny standards of the U.S. Constitution.

I don't think there's anyone in this world who doesn't understand that. I think people who take this stuff seriously and ask for bans are just playing dumb and pushing their agenda.
