Do all new CCDW applications go through an investigation stage?
It has been so long that I honestly don't remember mine. I do know it always takes a long time, mine was ~6 mos. I would certainly hope that a new applicant would get a deep review prior to be issued their permit though. In my mind renewals should go faster with a not as deep look into their past.
