Hi, all.

My name is Nick, and I'm in North Wilmington, but I also frequent Newark quite often as my girlfriend lives there. I've been a handgun owner since I was 21, but just started carrying and am looking into getting my CCDW but will be OC'ing in the meantime.

I like cars and bikes, and was recently in an accident on my motorcycle where somebody pulled out in front of me. A broken leg and a few other bones later, I'm recovering quickly but realized that if I ever needed to defend myself, I wouldn't have the option of running away. Between this and recent uncertainty around current events, I started looking into how to carry legally in DE. This site and the "deccw" site have been a great resource for me, so I decided to join.

I just received my holster in the mail today and tried it out for the first time. I won't lie, I was pretty nervous about it at first but after going into a few stores I realized it isn't as big of a deal as I thought and nobody said a thing to me. I look forward to seeing how it goes in the future and am happy to be exercising my right to bear arms.

I'm not sure how active this forum is these days but I'm happy to be here and look forward to chatting with you all! Thanks for having me ;) btw, I am currently carrying a Sig P320 M18.

Welcome aboard! Yes, you're right. In a year or two it will simply be second nature and you will just put it on when you put your wallet in your back pocket. You won't even realize you are wearing it... until the day you need it. Good man.

Hello

Hello everyone,
My name is Tammy and I live in Hartly. I'm a native Texan. My dad started teaching us early. I got my first rifle when I was around 10 y.o. and still have it. I worked as a correctional officer for the State of Texas and the State of Delaware. I served in the US Army and have had several security jobs, one of which was at the State Department in DC. I have many hours of firearms training from handguns to shotguns. I'm hoping to gain more knowledge about OC so I don't make any mistakes while doing so. Thanks for having me.

I work full time on an ambulance and part time working on boats. Iv been a firefighter/EMT for about 8 years now. I have my Utah CCP, carry weapon of choice is my Glock 27 fed by hornaday critical duty. I also have a Rock Island Armory .45 tactical and a S&W SD40 .40. Most call me an ammo hoarder, I just like being prepared. I'm 24 years old and pro-gun all the way.

Matt-

It's good that you have your UT permit, but if you're a DE resident you MUST have a DE CCDW in order to conceal in DE. Perhaps you already know that, but it's a common misconception that DE residents can carry concealed in DE on a non-res permit/license from another state.

Stay safe, and welcome to DELOC! :D
