I believe it is DNEREC who patrols down there, at least I remember that is who gave me tickets for illegal off-roading during a misspent youth.
I stopped down there today and read the sign at the Summit north entrance and it stated "no target shooting" but did not explicitly say no firearms, I thought at least one of the signs stated "no rifled firearms" so the past few times I was headed down there I disarmed before entering. I'd rather not disarm if I don't legally have to, I'd also rather not be the first one to find out the hard way that I should have.
