If you have received communication from specific stores, malls, towns and cities regarding their firearms policies, good or bad, post them here.

After reading about someone who was hassled about their OCing in the store, I sent an email (via their online comment form) to Dick's Corporate inquiring about their "official" OC policy. Here's the email I sent:
I'm a member of Delaware Open Carry and a private citizen who
exercises his right to keep and bear arms for self defense. I open carry
a firearm on my side daily. What is your store policy regarding open
carry inside your store? Thank you.
Here's their response:
Dear David,

Thank you for contacting Dick's Sporting Goods. Our stores do allow the
open carry of firearms. I hope this information is helpful.

Sincerely,

Sounds good, but after reading some stories on other forums I was wondering if certain stores had their own policies, so I wrote to Stephanie:
Dear Stephanie,

Thank you for your reply. I'm very pleased to hear about your positive
open carry policy in your stores. I'm assuming this policy is the same
in all stores around the Country? Or do certain stores have their own
specific policies?

I only ask because I've read that some people have had some issues in
some stores, like being asked to check their weapons at the entrance, or
being asked to disarm inside or being escorted to the door....

Thank you for your time.

Dave
And here's her response:
Dear Dave,

Thank you for responding. This policy is in effect nationwide
throughout all Dick's Sporting Goods Stores.

Sincerely,
Stephanie

So, it certainly sounds like Dick's Sporting Goods is pro-2nd Amendment and pro-OC!!! :pbjtime:
