The uppers (aka Rickman's) didn't like me much after I evacuated the Casino floor for a fire on the roof one evening. After that no love for me. Wasn't long after I went packing for better things.
I was there around 2003-2003, the horse statues ya got each year were kinda nice, unloading computers to do work on them from his private helicopter was a bit obnoxious :-P For all the money that seemed to roll into the place at the time, you'd think they could have spruced it up a bit...but it does look a bit nicer now, I noticed the tunnel to the back lot was cleaned up quite a bit. I wonder what corner they keep the MIS/IT guys in now... My only dealings with security were when doing support in the more touchy areas and when arriving early in the morning while they're doing the slot rounds, they get all twitchy as if you're gonna run off with COINS...as an employee...on video...with your prints on file... heh.. Did have one of the slot guys drop in front of me in a seizure and when I was calling out to someone for help the security guys were looking really nervous...uhm...guys, see that guy there on the floor convulsing? Yeah, sure, he COULD be faking, and this could be a dramatic way to distract you but come ON...

Security was the umbrella over Fire Command. Did not do much in the way of security. Did safety checks and the like and the typical Firefighter/EMT stuff.

I liked watching them get all worked up. Especially when we had to go into hard count and soft count.

Last week carried to dinner at The Melting Pot, no issues as always...

Today as I was getting the mail I was approached by our neighbor asking "what's the deal with the gun?". He had his parents over from Florida and I think perhaps they were startled/curious. Just told him it was for self defense. He asked if I had any prior problems and I just chuckled inside... Do I need to have an issue to take preventive measures? Was getting distracted by my 3 yr old near the street so headed in. I think I may leave a PA and DE flier in their mailbox... He seemed a little concerned but didn't press the issue, we'll see how things go...

Are they really from Florida, or are they transplanted New York/New Jersey people?

Found myself down in Delaware again today, dropped the wife off for her 2nd (right hand) CTS operation at Limestone Surgery Center then ran over to Kinkos on the other side of Kirkwood to drop off a package. Then swung down to WaWa on Limestone to snag some early lunch/late breakfast. After surgery we headed down Krikwood to Serpie's bakery for some goodies, WalGreens for some pain meds and shopped around in BJ's for a bit to get some frozen bulk stuff for the new freezer we put in the basement. Then a quick trip back to Limestone to Total Wine for some fondu-juice, AKA cheap jug wine. Upon arrival Garda was parked next door so I had to come up behind'em but no issues as usual.

Swung by the Walmart near Prices Corner today to pickup some more ammo and some pictures...

While getting my ammo the older lady that opened the cabinet saw my Sig on my side and started looking nervous and said something along the lines of I hope that isn't loaded... They don't allow that in here. I simply stated that corporate policy was to follow state and local laws and that I've had no issues in the past and retrieved some ammo which she then escorted to the front cashier. Got the usual question if it's for a pistol or a rifle to which I responded BOTH... On the way out someone said "sir!" and when I turned around I was approached my a heavier set black gentleman who said he was with Walmart security and flashed some form of silver star badge with blue lettering so fast that I could not identify much more. He said no firearms unless law enforcement and I explained that was counter to corporate policy and said have a good day and left. His name was Sean and refused to give a last name. I called the store from the car to confirm he was with Walmart and they said yes. I then explained what happened and that corporate policy was to follow state and local laws and they should contact corporate.

I'll be in touch with corporate myself soon to clarify what is wrong here.
