x2... I rarely get cold enough to break out a heavy winter coat. Usually Under Armor and long sleeves is enough for me. If it gets bitter cold then a mid-weight sweatshirt or jacket work fine. I then just tuck it between the holster and my side as well.

Agreed with that. Coming from Iowa, the weather here hasn't really been cold enough except maybe on one occasion that I've wanted to wear a winter jacket. I've been wearing a T-Shirt (sometimes a long-sleeve T-shirt) under a hoodie sweatshirt, and that's been warm enough. Tuck the sweatshirt behind the serpa holster, and good to go.

A coat, which typically extends below the hips, is really not appropriate for OC. However a jacket, which typically extends only to the waist, would be your best bet.
