I just wanted to post a "database" list of local (and not-so-local) shooting ranges so everyone can have a handy reference.... This includes public ranges and members-only ranges. If you want a range added to the list, post it here and I'll add it (or email/PM me the details).

I'm a member at the Bridgeville Rifle and Pistol Club so I just wanted to put up some more info about the club for anyone who doesn't know much about it. The range listing is accurate in the post by Michael Yocum, but if you're used to other ranges then it's unclear at first on how to contact anyone for joining the club. The details for joining are as follows:

Log onto the club's webpage here at http://www.bville-rifle-pistol.org/html ... edule.html. Click on the link for Jeff Hague's email. Email Jeff, say you're interested in joining the club and request the pdf file of the membership application.

When you get that and print it out you need to fill it out and send it with a check for $175. $100 is a one-time buy in for one share of membership stock, $75 is for your first year of annual dues. Then you'll wait a week or two and you'll get an interview with someone down at the range who will show you around and answer any questions you have. After the interview you're welcome to stay and shoot, but you won't have your membership card or badge yet, that will come in the mail. After you get your 'credentials', you can access the club anytime during daylight hours and shoot (highpower on the 600yd starts at 10am, there are houses right next the the range). If anyone is interested in this range PM me and we'll set up a time where you can come as my guest and I'll show you around the place!

Having been there to complete the practical portion of Godasmypilot's CCDW course, I can attest that they have a really nice setup going. Especially the 600 yard range!

I stopped by the Bridgeville club about a month ago. Looked like you could actually hunt on the club land. There was a map with stickers on it showing stickers of where stands were in the woods. Is this part of a standard membership? Or do you pay more for the privilege to hunt? I wouldn't imagine the ranges would be closed during hunting season, which might make it a difficult spot to hunt. I might be more inclined to join with this benefit. Just wondering. Thanks.

Hunting privileges on club property is part of standard membership benefits. There is quite a bit more land than you think there is for hunting. I do not know a lot about hunting on club property, but I do know that the ranges don't have to close down for people to hunt. I have gone for a range session, then after I'm done, I'll see a guy or two come out of the woods with their quads from hunting.

If you would like to meet hunters in the club and ask about hunting on the land, we have our annual membership meeting on December 5th, the business meeting starts at about 11am I think. Send me a PM and that way I can introduce you to the right people when you come in. Also, just fyi, we have a 1000 yd range that is about half way done, in this next year it will probably be up and running, just another benefit if you're interested.
